KURTS PICKS SATURDAY AUGUST 8th, 2020

Race 1

#6 Joe's Beauty: Returns from a start in Summerside where she raced well in a third place finish in 201/4. She seems to be over her early season breaking issues and should be a major player here today.

#5 Warrawee Upside: Was a solid runner up after being parked early last time and only came up a length short in 203/4. She leaves from the same post today and should be heard from once again

#1 Joe C One Fiveoh: Hit the board for the first time last week even if it was by placing. He closed well in 30 and change which if you throw in rail control today, he could be making it back to back triactor appearances.

Race 2

#3 Union Man Hanover: Wasnt able to get fired up last week from the back of the bus and ended up with a 5th place finish. With post three look for a more forward approach early on here this afternoon.

#4 Iloveroses: Was placed into her 6th top three in seven tries which is impressive despite not visiting the winners circle as of yet. She draws in the middle of the gate and should be heard from late in the mile once again.

#5 Windemereimalright: Had her best performance of the year here last week with a late charging 3rd place finish in 201/1 and a 30 second closer. A repeat of that performance would put her in the conversation once again.

Race 3

#3 J J Breanne: Looked to be on her way to an easy victory but her bike threw an anchor and she finished third with the tire malfunction. With post three it could be retribution day here this afternoon.

#5 Ebandtheboys: Was forced out before the quarter last week and still raced large being beaten less than 2 lengths in a 3rd placed 2nd finish. A smoother journey could result in his picture getting taken here today.

#1 Real Bigg: Has been no worse than 4th in his last four starts and paced a nice mile of 200/1 here last week. Throw in the pole positon draw and he is definately a player here this afternoon.

Race 4

#6 Santana Sass: Had his best race of the season thus far last time out in a runner up finish in Truro in 157/3. He will have to deal with an outside post however does have the talent to be a major player at this level.

#1 Fall Bliss: Was a decent 4th last time out after not finishing the week before with broken equipment. The classy veteran hasn't found the winners circle yet this year in seven attempts which is rare. Rail control today has to put him in the conversation.

#4 Double Down Dash: For the second consecutive week was denied victory by a head this time in 200/3. The son of Neutralize has been getting better every week and one of these times he is going to hit the wire first.

Race 5

#1 Montrose Hope: Rallied from almost 10 lengths back at the half to come up just a neck shy in 159/3. This fella is 7 for 8 in top three performances this year and will likely add another to his resume here today.

#4 Double D Deluxe: Raced another long mile last time out and still hung around for the show dough in a decent clocking  of 200/3. Look for him to be on the move early again today.

#5 Paris Beau: Has been taking on some pretty tough competition the last few weeks and has only been worse than 4th once. He draws outside today but with a little break in class he is without a doubt a major player in here.

Race 6

#2 Tobins Rebel: Has not been out of the top two this year and last time out took a new record of 155/2 in Truro. He gets a favorable post draw here today in the Barrieau- McIssac and looks to be the one to beat.

#3 Red Dirt Star: One of the 2 fillys that will take on 7 boys comes in with a nice record of her own with 4 victories in 6 attempts and has the most earnings in the field this year with just shy of $17,000 in the bank. With a decent post and ample early speed she will be heard from today.

#8 Woodmere Rollnpop: Is one of more talented pacers in this group but has the unenviable task of competing from post 8 which is tough on a half mile track. Will be looking for some speedy fractions up front.

Race 7

#1 Pickpocketprincess: Sat the trip last week and wasn't able to track down Bugger Max but still raced well in the runner up finish The roles are reversed here today as the Princess has the pole position so look for her to be controling the action this time around.

#3 Bugger Max: The ATM made a nice deposit in his bank account last week with the winners share of the purse. He draws outside of post two for the first time in six starts ( way out to post three ) so we will see what tactic Mr. Haig takes early on.

#2 Instant Shadow: Has been racing in Summerside recently and two starts back was a winner in 158/1. Look to hear his name early and often here in today's finale.
